Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing a new care model is an important decision. Below are direct, transparent answers to the questions we hear most often from professionals and families considering Direct Primary Care.

Because your relationship is direct, you communicate with your doctor, not layers of staff, portals, or insurance barriers.
DPC is a healthcare membership, similar to a gym, that gives you direct access to your physician without billing insurance for routine care. It allows for longer visits, faster communication, and a prevention-focused approach.
Yes. We recommend maintaining insurance for unexpected emergencies, hospitalizations, specialist care, and major medical events. We manage your day-to-day primary care.
We welcome patients with or without insurance; we simply do not bill insurance for our services.
Unlimited primary care visits, same or next business day appointments, direct physician access, chronic disease management, preventative care, telehealth visits, and personalized health planning.
No. Your monthly membership covers your primary care services. Labs and imaging are offered at transparent, reduced cash pricing when needed.
We intentionally limit our patient panel, so you receive unhurried visits, faster responses, and a physician who knows your history and long-term goals. Unlike traditional primary care, where panels have 2,500-3,000 patients per provider, our target is to focus on a much smaller patient panel to provide the time necessary to address patients' needs.
When medically appropriate, yes. Our approach emphasizes prevention and lifestyle strategies to safely simplify care whenever possible.
We regularly manage diabetes, prediabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, weight concerns, and mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Most appointments are available the same or next business day for established members.

No, these are not covered by the membership fee. We have contracted with labs to find you the lowest cash prices. This allows no restrictions from insurance to order the tests we believe you need.
No, your office visits cannot be sent to your insurance plan for reimbursement.. We specifically operate in a cash-based model so that we do not have any insurance barriers and restrictions. We do recommend you keep insurance coverage for major unexpected life events, specialist care, and emergency care.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) and concierge medicine both offer smaller patient panels and more personalized care. The main difference is how they operate. Concierge practices typically charge a higher annual membership fee and still bill insurance for visits and services. Direct Primary Care uses a simple, more affordable monthly membership and does not bill insurance, which keeps care transparent and accessible.
